Housed in the Fine 艺术 Building on the 体育菠菜大平台 campus, the 剧院 facilities include the Miriam Drake 剧院, Studio 剧院, theatre design lab, 服装商店, 现场购物, dressing rooms, and 教室/green room.
MIRIAM DRAKE THEATRE
的 Miriam Drake 剧院 is a 334-seat proscenium house complete with a sizable fly system, modern sound and lighting equipment, 舞台上的陷阱, 管弦乐队演奏处, and all of the equipment necessary for high quality productions.
STUDIO THEATRE
的 Studio 剧院 is a completely versatile "black box" performance and 教室 space located in the basement of the Fine 艺术 building. 的 Studio 剧院, with its movable seating risers, can accommodate up to 100 people in various configurations for classes, mainstage season performances, student-directed pieces, and special projects.
THEATRE DESIGN LAB
的 剧院 Design Lab is a 教室 and student work space equipped with computers, 软件, and other tools specifically intended for theatre design classes and projects. 剧院 majors and minors, as well as other students enrolled in 剧院 classes, are invited to utilize the 剧院 Design Lab at almost any time during normal building hours.
服装商店
的 服装商店, also located in the basement of the Fine 艺术 building, houses the equipment and materials necessary to create the costumes for each mainstage production. 的 majority of the costumes for each production are constructed by student employees on site in the 服装商店, or pulled from the sizable stock available in costume storage.
现场购物
的 现场购物 is a fully functioning shop used for all of the technical tasks necessary to mount 体育菠菜大平台 theatre productions. 的 student staff in the 现场购物 is responsible for the construction of scenery and props, scene painting, 索具, and electrics (lighting and sound).
DRESSING ROOMS
两个大 dressing rooms (一个男人的, 一个女人的), located in the basement of the Fine 艺术 building, are used during performances in the 剧院 performance spaces and other areas of the Fine 艺术 Building. 的 dressing rooms also serve as a 教室 space for the Stage Makeup courses.
CLASSROOM/GREEN ROOM
的 primary 剧院 教室 space (FA 212) is a very versatile room which is often used as the green room for productions, a meeting space, an alternate work space for the 现场购物, and just about any other project/event requiring a little extra room.
